Meet the Scientist
On February 11th 2025 young women from two Christchurch schools joined us for an inspiring afternoon where accomplished women scientists shared their journeys and discoveries through dynamic lightning talks. The students got to experience the excitement of science first hand as these researchers brought their work to life in quick, engaging presentations. Afterward, there was a chance to chat one-on-one with the scientists, ask questions about their careers, and learn what it's really like to work in STEM.
Whether curious about biology, fascinated by physics, or simply wondering what scientists do all day, this event offered a unique opportunity to connect with women who are pushing the boundaries of scientific discovery. Get honest insights about pursuing a career in science, find potential mentors, and discover the diverse paths available in STEM fields.
We invite high schools and intermediate schools to share the event recording with their female students and become part of this energizing community of young women. Explore the possibilities of science and discover where a scientific journey could lead.
