Volcanofest

Volcanofest will be offering fun activities relating to volcanology for all ages, as well as computer games for learning about volcanoes. They will also be highlighting  opportunities for careers in volcanology and volcano science product development.

On Thinning Ice

How do scientists check the health of a glacier? Come along and visit Heather who is a 'glacier doctor'. She will explain what glacier mass balance is and you can do some measurements yourself to find out why 'water' not money is the currency for measuring glacier health.

Human Library

The human library allows you to 'borrow' a scientist of your choosing so you can chat about current scientific research. Simply head to the Human Library desk on the day to sign up.
