Welcome to the Festival of Women and Girls in Science

To celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the aim of the festival is to showcase science and technology research that is being carried out by women in science.

Through interactive activities, we want to share the excitement of taking part in scientific research and demonstrate the important contribution that women make to science.

With a particular focus on activities for girls aged 10-18 and their families, our objective is to facilitate the involvement of women and girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths). We aim to establish meaningful connections between science and their daily experiences, fostering curiosity and, ideally, sparking inspiration for future careers!

International Day of Women and Girls in Science

The International Day for Women and Girls in Science is an annual day to recognise the critical role women and girls play in science and technology. Celebrated each year on February 11th, the day is an opportunity to promote full and equal access and participation in science for women and girls.
